15 Month Check-Up

We went for Cole's 15 month check-up yesterday. He weighs a whopping 21.7 lbs and is 32 inches tall. Dr Stephens said he was "tall and slender". He has 3 of 4 molars in already. Everything else checked out fine. We did get some more medicine so hopefully we can get his allergies under control.

At the Zoo!!!

Sunday was Mother's Day at the Zoo (Mother's got in free).

Cole had to get really close to see the Seahorse.

The rest of us were on our way back to the car and Papa took Cole off on their own little detour. Evidently, Cole informed Papa that he wanted a Giraffe.

This was a GREAT Mother's Day for me. Now that Cole doesn't come to work with me everyday I certainly feel like I'm missing out on alot of the little things, so getting to spend the whole day with him was very special. Being a Mom is the BEST thing in the world. I am very proud to be Cole's Mama.

Mother's Day 2008 - Apache

We spent the Saturday of Mother's Day weekend in Apache with Grandma Charlotte.

Cole spent most of the day trying to climb on the water fountain. In this one, he's looking back to see if he will get caught doing something he knows he's not supposed to.

Cole was trying to entertain Lucas. He mostly just entertained himself though.

Lucas, Lillian and Cole looking out the window.

Lillian and Cole played in the fountain all day. Then Grandma thought they needed cups to play in the water. Lillian evidently thought Cole needed a bath. They had so much fun.

Awwwww...picture time. Picture time is always an event. As you can see, it's very hard to get all the kids happy and looking at the camera at the same time. Lillian had just hit her foot on the chair so she was upset about that. Cole was looking at Lillian trying to figure out what was going on with her. And Lucas was actually looking at the camera. Oh well, they all can't be good...

THE MANY FACES OF COLE...

As you can see, Cole has become very animated with his expressions. We can't figure out where he is coming up with these faces.

SAY CHEEEEESE!!!!!!!

A WEEKEND AT HOME...FINALLY!!!

Isn't he sweet?

My future's so bright I've gotta wear shades...

Reading the Sunday paper

Obviously Wheeler wasn't listening...

Of course, he wanted the ball at the bottom of the toy bag.

JUMP! JUMP!

Cousin Lillian got a new trampoline Saturday so we went for a visit to help break it in. Cole spent most of the time on his bottom, but he had a blast.

A New Do!

As you can see, I got a haircut. I recently joined the "30 Club" and decided I wanted a change.

SWEET, SWEET SOUND...

Cole finally said "Mama"... It's the most wonderful thing I've ever heard!!!

YUM-O!!! *Crockpot Pork Loins*

I tried a couple new recipes this weekend and thought I would pass them along...

Julie gave me this one and it is GOOD...

CROCKPOT PORK LOINS

2 preseasoned BBQ pork loins (I used plain ones because they were cheaper)
2 jars Cattleman's Honey BBQ sauce (I couldn't find Cattleman's so I got KC Masterpiece)
2 cloves fresh garlic - cut slits in pork loin and stuff slices of garlic in them
cracked black pepper
cajun seasoning

Cook on low 8 hours
Shred meat with two forks and serve on buns or slice and serve with your favorite veggie.

I also made Puppy Chow although John & Kate plus 8 call it Monkey Munch and since Cole is part Monkey (he moved his little chair over to the couch so he could climb on the back of the couch and then tried to go over the side), that's what I think I'll call it too.

MONKEY MUNCH

9 cups Chex cereal
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 butter
1/4 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Pour Chex cereal in a large mixing bowl.
In a seperate bowl melt chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter (I did this in the microwave). Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Pour chocolate mixture over cereal and stir until coated. Put cereal mixure in a plastic baggie with powdered sugar and shake until coated. Spread mixture over wax paper and allow to cool.
