Christmas 2008 - Apache

On Christmas Day, after we had lunch at Bubba's, we headed over to Apache for Christmas with the Young's. Smokey and Kristy made it down from Kansas City this year, so there was a HOUSEFUL of itty bitty's...it was loads of fun.

Just before the chaos started...

...and go...OPEN PRESENTS!!! WOO HOO!!!

Cole got a Handy Manny car from Uncle Smokey and Aunt Kristy. It is still one of his favorites. (too many small pieces to keep up with...I guess that was paybacks for buying Jackson a train set for his birthday)

Lillian got some new pink boots from Uncle Smokey and Aunt Kristy

The Handy Manny car was "Uncle Smokey proof". Cole and Jackson had it figured out in no time, though.
Lucas got a ride-on car..."I'm outta here."

Brady didn't know what was going on, but he was not left out. He gets the award for the "Best Behaved Itty-Bitty"

Everyone needed a nap...no one would sleep in the beds...

BATH TIME! I'm not sure how many more will fit in Grandma and Papa's tub...

MOVIE TIME! Mickey Mouse Christmas, Cheerios and milk...they were finally still and quiet.

LINE-UP! This picture cracks me up. They all look guilty. "Face to the left...face to the right...face to the front...would suspect #3 please step forward..."

They have an entire room full of toys and they are playing on the blow-up matress. At least they are having a blast together.

Waaaaaaa Hooooooooo!!!!!!!!

"It's my turn."

"No, it's my turn."

"No, it's myyyyy turn."

Grandma's exercise ball is a big hit. I think Amy finally put it out of sight so the fights would stop. Good call, Amy.

I caught these 3 playing behind Grandma and Papa's bed.

V-neck or U-neck? You decide...

A very intense game of Scattegories
The elusive Grandparents/Grandkids picture

The Miller's came over to Apache for a visit. Jackson M and Cole...Yummmm, fruit roll-ups!
"How much is that doggie in the window?"

Leave it to Cole to find the dirt
Grandma with Lucas and Brady
Who needs a chair?
Faron shot a deer on Sat evening on the Miller's land. It was the 1st. His eyes were all lit up like a little kid on Christmas morning.

Christmas 2008 - Marlow

I started out Christmas Eve with a Day of Baking (a post on that will follow this one). Our Christmas Eve started out in Moore at Donald and Linda's house. Cole got all the gifts, as you can see.

Donald is trying to get Cole started early on being the next Tiger Woods

All the grandkids with Nanny Polly(L>R: Mandi, Cassi, Me, Nanny P, Cole and Bubba)

Christmas morning we were in Marlow at Nana and Papa's house. Bub and Liz came over to open gifts with us (thanks again Bub for catering to my sentimental side).

A GIANT Nemo coloring book

Bubba opening his Christmas present from me. I was so excited for him to open his gift. He is a big Yankee fan and was lucky enough to go to a game this year in the old stadium. I found a pic of Mickey Mantle hitting his 1st home run in Yankee Stadium, a copy of Babe Ruth's contract from the Red Soxs, and a blue print from the old stadium and had them framed. I think he liked them.

Carhart overalls...Cole's going country

A travel sized chalkboard...

Dang it!, Aunt Liz! No LONGHORNS allowed...This is actually a really cute gift. It's a sleeping bag with horses and cows on the front and the pillow is a longhorn. At least it's not BURNT ORANGE...

Papa got Cole a remote control car

Daddy and Cole with his new computer

For Christmas Dinner, we headed over to Bubba and Liz's house. This was their 1st time hosting a big family thing...and it turned out great.

This is where the magic happened...

Bubba was an excellent Grill Master. He made two hams, two pork loins, pepper bacon wrapped banana peppers, and roasted potatoes with mushrooms, onions and squash. Everything was YUM-O! He is holding out on me though...he wouldn't give up the recipes. Uhrrrrr!

Me and Nanny P

Daddy and Cole

Nana and Cole

The pool table was a HUGE hit with Cole

I think it's considered cheating if you sit on the table...although if you can't even see over the table, maybe it's just considered evening the playing field

Haaaaaaaa!

All the grandkids with Nanny Mary Lee

All in all we had a great Christmas in Marlow...
but we're just getting started.

Our Christmas

**Warning: Excessive Pictures**
Since we were going to be traveling, we decided to have Christmas as a family at home on Sunday morning before Christmas.

The stockings were hung...(I didn't have a chance to get them monagramed)

New Christmas tradition...opening one present (new PJ's) on Christmas Eve

Santa had everything set up for Christmas morning

A cool picture I took of Thomas the Train with my new camera.

Christmas morning...Ohhhhh!!!

The 1st thing he spotted was Handy Manny figurines.

Then he finally noticed the Choo Choo, aka Thomas the Train

Little Golden Books of all the Disney Movies

Cole loves Schleich animals

Sock Monkey Jack-in-the-Box

This gift probably got the best reaction from Cole

The art easel was defintiley worth the money. Cole can spend hours drawing.

Flash cards...it's never too early to start.

Elmo sticker book

Helping Daddy with his present from Santa

Daddy's new ipod

Cole playing with ALL his new toys at the same time

Breakfast of champions...powdered donuts and chocolate milk

Finger lickin' good
We had a GREAT Christmas. It is so much fun to watch Cole's face light up. We are very blessed to have such a good little boy.
